Advice on a monitor

Any advice on a monitor replacement. I have 24" now but want to go
bigger. Something more than 27" would be nice

Depends on what you want to do with it and whether it 1) needs a denser resolution like 4K or 2) wider like the 21:9 monitors available.

My laptop is capable of 4K (3840x2160) so that is 16:9 format

Plan B might be to add another 24" in dual monitor mode. The laptop has
multiple ports

(1) HDMI 1.4
(1) Mini DisplayPort™ 1.2
(1) Thunderbolt™ 3

And the docking station has

• 2x DisplayPort 1.2*
• 1x DVI-D*
• 1x HDMI 1.4*
• 1x VGA*
